What We Offer Our Leaders
These are the essential components of the Senior Leadership Institute experience
Professional Development
The SLI provides monthly professional development modules covering: Personal Leadership, Performance Management, Political Acumen, Finance and Operations, Instructional Leadership, and Community Engagement.
Mentorship
Each cohort member is matched with a senior-level educational leader mentor. In addition, SLI members are featured at many ADE events where they have the opportunity to connect with the broader ADE network.
Field Experiences
Each ADE Cohort participates in a field-visit experience outside of Louisiana where they are able to visit schools and meet with local and national educational leaders.
Community
Sharing the ADE Cohort experience with the same group of people across eight months builds community through small moments, opportunities to be vulnerable, discussions, and traveling together.

Cohort 1: 2018-19
The inaugural Senior Leadership Institute Cohort had 13 members from eight organizations across the city.
Since the start of their SLI experience, 69% of the Cohort has been promoted.

Cohort 2: 2019-20
The second Senior Leadership Institute Cohort had 13 members from seven organizations across the city.
Despite the challenges that COVID-19 brought in the Spring, the Cohort was able to finish all of their professional development and travel to Washington, DC for a field visit.

Cohort 3: 2020-21
We are excited to welcome the third Senior Leadership Institute Cohort to begin the program in August 2020.
Our biggest cohort yet, this group of 18 members comes from 12 organizations within the Greater New Orleans area.
